www.PlatformExpos.com Additional Feature Implementation

After the great success of our last re-development of the www.PlatformExpos.com site in gaining an uplift in SEO and user features the was now to really utilise the new higher footfall to the site for good use and so the Platform Expos team asked for a new feature set and one that was fluid, interactive, and engaging on all platform including Tablet, Phone, and Browser as well as all screen resolutions.

To enable us to do this and add in the new Review features they requested we  re built the exterior of the site so as to keep all of the SEO work and structure relevant, we also enabled a new feature set to give the site a lot more social interaction via the ability to use a WordPress.com, Facebook, Twitter, or Google+ ID to post a comment straight onto the site as well as adding a subscription option and new related posts features based on the post tags.

All in all the new features have been used well and the site traffic is rising weekly as the content gets richer and it is a testament to the Platform Expos team to have used the new features in such a constructive way.


Today the new and improved www.PlatformExpos.com website was launched.

Designed and maintained by our in house design team the goal of the site was to promote and also showcase both past and future events as well as ongoing projects for the Platform Expos initiative, the works included a complete re-build of the previous website to increase SEO ability and also to increase the feature set available. Since the works the site now has already in a very short time increase its SEO imprint by over 73% (as verified by SEOCentro). As well the site has also shown an uptake from less than 500 views per month to over 600 per day giving the site a 97.22% increase in traffic.

Platform Expos 2013

For the 4th year in a row Garthwest Creative have delivered the brand management for the Platform Expos, with massive year on year growth and also building on industry links with many of the world leaders in technology including Google, Sony, and Microsoft to name just a few the with the rest shown on the image bellow.

For Platform 2013 we created all of the FSDU’s, Graphics, and event management structure. This involved our development of the modular graphical display units as well as exhibition display systems, all bespoke graphics such as the Platform logo and characters, as well as online brand management on Facebook, Twitter, and community partner sites as well as online, physical, and visual media outlets such as the BBC and the Hull Daily Mail.

Garthwest Creative has yet again delivered in an area that is one of the worlds fastest growing economies and continue to do so with Platform 2014 already in the planning.



The guys at Mer-Tech wanted to gain an edge in a very competitive industry, as such they realised that more and more people go online to view services before choosing an option.

Mer-Tech approached our design team with one requirement “Make us stand out” and that is something we did, the automotive industry is one of the most heavily saturated industries in the UK and so for that SEO and accessibility become a massive requirement for any brand in the sector. To start with accessibility was a limiting factor with the companies original website as with many, Mer-Tech had originally set up its own website using the Moonfruit platform one that although attractive to some first time users becomes very limiting very fast. The initial site lacked that professional and clean look needed to gain the edge with Mer-Tech’s target customer base of Mercedes owners and so to start with we had to clean out the old and build from scratch.

We moved the company onto the WordPress back end system so as to instantly open up the possibilities for future site advancement and feature growth, this began with basic features not previously available like Mobile integration a vital part of any modern website as well as social integration with Facebook. Once the platform was in place the build could start with over 130 pages needed on the site to cover all car brands, servicing options, and also industry required information the task was something that Mer-Tech could not undertake on there own.

Now finished and up and running the site has seen a 62% increase in SEO efficiency (as verified by SEOCentro) and also a much greater ranking in local area searches as well as Google optimisation to include the location and easy integration into such features as Google Now and Google Maps. We also undertook the development of the companies Social offerings and helped build up the social brand on Facebook resulting in an all round connected site and user experience.

Tasked with bringing the digital community in the UK together in Hull for the 3rd year in a row Garthwest Creative managed the on the day as well as marketing side of the event.

The event gained great coverage across local and national media outlets as well as international interaction with the USA and Doha.
